Dear Colleagues, Supporters, and Friends of NCMC,

As you all are no doubt aware, we are in the midst of an expanding global coronavirus outbreak. As of March 6, 2020, we are expecting to hold NCMC 2020 in Rocky Mount March 29 and March 30 as planned.

The Executive Committee of NCMC have been closely monitoring the situation and staying up to date on the latest developments. Current US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization recommendations do not limit travel internally within the US. We do not anticipate that changing before our scheduled conference, and the CDC and the North Carolina Department of Public Health are not currently recommending postponing or cancelling large events or gatherings. We will continue to maintain a close eye on state and local restrictions and warnings and plan to update attendees as we go through this process.

At this time, our refund policies are unchanged. We have a number of contractual obligations that we must fulfill, in addition to supporting our museum community in North Carolina. Should we have to cancel the conference, it may take some time to determine the level of refund, if any, that can be provided.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to balance our contractual obligations, our obligations to North Carolina and its museum community, and the professional and personal needs and concerns of our attendees and members.
