It's inevitable that, if you want a job in the museum field, you'll have to apply and interview. Although getting your materials together and applying for a job can be intimidating, it doesn't have to be a painful process. This free, 2-hour workshop will give participants guidelines to follow, suggestions for improving materials, and tricks to help ease the stress of interviewing. The first hour will be instructional with time for Q&A. The second half will include an interviewing activity and time with the presenter to ask specific questions about resumes and cover letters.

Presented by Alicyn Wiedrich, the Curator of the Gaston County Museum for Art & History. With approximately 10 years of experience in the museum field, not only has she applied for and gotten jobs (and applied to and NOT gotten jobs), she has assisted with the hiring of employees in a wide range of departments, including part time and full time employees.

Free to all; registration required
